Stellar Fury - 0.9.4.1 Update


0.9.4.1 Changes:

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed bug where combo multipler UI was not udpating in TATE
  • Fixed missing effects form Cobra enemy
  • Fixed a misconfigured collider with a certain type of bullet that prevented it from being canceled by invulnerability ring

Features:

  • Updated Hitbox indicator settings
    • Color of the animated blink is now configurable
    • Option to enable/disable hitbox indicator turns off animated blink (instead of showing an ugly overlay)
  • Added options to disable blinking letters/numbers. Option only removes the blinking color effect itself. There are already existing options to disable the various lettering popups altogether.
  • Adjusted screen clear scoring:
    • Performing a full screen clear now incurs a 5 point penalty to the base point item score on following clears
    • Partial screen clear incurs a 20 point penalty
    • All penalties are zeroed out if the player reaches max capacitor.
    • If the capacitor maxed and there is only a -5 penalty, a bonus is applied of +10 in addition to the penalty being cleared
    • Bonuses/penalties accumulate separately. 
    • Bonuses/Penalties are capped at +/-150
    • Bonuses/Penalties reset at the end of the stage


The idea was to create some ambiguity in the point value of the screen clears. Instead of a static "more clears = more points" experience - this will push into being more selective as to what clears are worth executing. 

  • Added a new bullet style. Aimed shots that used the circular bullet type now use an elongated circle type for easier pattern readiblity. 

Misc:

  • Removed "Alpha" bullet style - they were old and jank and just needed to go.
  • Slightly adjusted special energy usage rate/min energy to fire
