Stellar Fury Alpha 0.11 Release notes:
Bug fixes:
- Game HUD not initializing after beating the demo levels and relaunching the game
- Player spawns at the top of the screen
- Player spawns twice when restarting the level (Needs validation: this issue is not present on development computers)
- Ship not selectable with thumbsticks (d-pad and keyboard only)
- Pause menu defocus buttons if clicked
- Score set to zero if player continues and proceeds to next level. Score will be whatever the score was when the player spent their last live on their first credit
- Enemy #8 (present in level 2) fired off screen
- Destroyable items on bosses that drop points would occasionally drop multiple items.
Modifications:
- Player hitbox size decreased and moved to around the middle of the sprite.
- Enemy ship color schemes redesigned.
- Enemy bullet colors changed
- Aimed/homing and fast bullets are now a different color
- Changed enemy rocket graphic to be more visible
- Change camera pan function to move at a static rate instead of a lerp function.
- Moved secondary attack to a separate key
- Added an autofire key for the primary attack
- Added application icon
- Decreased live object area so bullets are immediately despawned once leaving the screen. This should prevent bullets from leaving the screen and reentering (namely homing shots)
- Changed high score screen music
- Renamed "Novice" to "Normal" and "Normal" to "Hard". Actual difficulty of respective modes remains unchanged.
- Proceeding to the next level after beating a level happens more quickly (and automatically)
- Slightly increases the fall rate of pickups
New Features:
- Enabled bullet configuration screen
- Enabled background configuration screen
- Resolution is now configurable. Only supports 16:9 resolutions
- Windowed mode is now supported.
Known Issues:
- Resolution options sometimes populate multiple times in the dropdown
- New actions (Secondary fire and Auto fire) might be unmapped if played a previous version of Stellar Fury. Click "Restore Defaults" to resolve.
